About Us
Hi! We’re Shane and Kelly, and we’re new to the Michigan City area. We moved here from New Zealand to be closer to Kelly’s family and to live the American dream.
At Kiwi Contracting, we provide reliable, high-quality contracting services for residential and light commercial projects across Northern Indiana, Southwest Michigan. From general contracting and landscaping to hardscaping and excavation, our team handles every phase of your project with care, clear communication and attention to detail with transparency. Whether you’re updating your outdoor space, tackling a new build or improving existing structures, we focus on durable workmanship, honest timelines and results that stand the test of time.
Our Story
Together we have over 30 years of experience in the construction industry, and we’re excited to bring the “can‑do” Kiwi work ethic to serve our new community. We promise to be diligent, disciplined, and reliable with every project we take on.
Our Experience
Shane’s experience is vast, including welding, deck building, carpentry, and land development. He has over 20 years in the construction industry operating many types of heavy machinery. Over the last two years, Shane and Kelly have worked together on construction sites installing services and building roads, footpaths, ponds, and landscaping.
